The P/E of DOW looks healthy enough , if it has not risen lately. Lots of trading starting about 1995 - about the time companies started going big on options.
For HPQ I am tempted, but would compare it with opportunities elsewhere too.
And a comparison with others is about as far as I go in looking for a new stock. Initialy have more confidence is stocks I already own, and give them more weight.
Perhaps you have better stuff, in some way. It will still take lot of confidence in the individual stock to hold it long term. I dont own any of these right now tho.

Yes I like those charts Greg: Markets look normal now, despite numerous predictions to the contrary.
I finally downloaded SETI screensaver, its run for 17 hours now , no sign of intelligence "out there" yet. So maybe I will stop watching it.
Nas now up a bit. Ready for the AM and seeing what Wmt does
