Neocon,

"But if you suddenly find that most of Dearborn has called in sick, or is visiting Auntie Ayesha, I would get worried........"

A most excellent idea. I wonder if any government office is tracking something like this.

Dearborn has certainly changed in the past 11 years. When I first started in the auto biz I could walk into any building in the Ford complex except four. As soon as Desert Storm started electro-magnetic locks were installed on all buildings (probably about 50-60) and pass cards issued to key suppliers. I used to laugh because some "craftsman" made a custom wood block to prop the heavy doors open over at a building called PDC 1.

A friend's brother is in law enforcement in Dearborn. He said the rate of violent crime has decreased, but spouse abuse rates went way up. Total change in the demographic in that area. We also have a lot of non-Muslim Arabs, but I can't tell the difference. I must be a racist.

Have a great holiday.
