Green Christmas seen for e-commerce
Online sales expected to jump as much as 35%

During the week ending Nov. 15, online shoppers spent an average of $72 online, according to a study NetRatings co-authored. That is a 28 percent increase over what consumers spent during the same week last year.

In any case, online shopping is still relatively minusucle. It makes up only 2 percent of all retail sales annually, according to the Department of Commerce.

I don't know this company (because they are in woodbury NY) but they are a spinoff of CMVT focussing on analytics- a strong quarter w/30% y/y revenue increase in software which is about as good as it gets in 2002.

The Company posted record sales of $40,671,000 for the third quarter of fiscal 2002, compared with $31,039,000 for the third quarter of Fiscal 2001, an increase of approximately 31% year-over-year. Verint's sales increased approximately 5.7% sequentially, compared with $38,470,000 for the second quarter of Fiscal 2002.

As far as analytic solutions for enterprise business intelligence, my guess is this winds up at the CRMs or ERPs with retail being the first mover vertical.
