Not Likely. Islam was a "Barracks" Religion from the start. The Founder was a Warrior. Christ, of course, was the opposite. The "Crusader" Image came from the Warrior part of the state, when Christianity was a "State" Religion. That is not part of the Evangelical movement, in spite of the fact that a lot of the left tries to equate it with Islam. The Christians in the "South" will fight back but not initiate, IMO. The Muslims will go to war to stop the Evangelical Christians from going after converts. The Christians will not do the same in response to Islam going after converts.

I am not in sympathy with the "Religious Right" in this country, but it really pisses me off when the left attempts to make them the equivalent of Wahhabism.
