I expect multi-lateral USGovt action -- counter-productive

military: we invite (no, demand) terrorist counter-strikes
the more pressure we put on Arabs generally, the more inevitable another World Trade-type hit

financial: we invite (no, demand) market writedown of our debt
that includes our corp debt, our federal debt, our household debt

political: we invite Europeans getting really really pissed off
they wont counter-strike because they are our friends
but our world bullying (as they see it) will bring about shared counter-strikes to the European continent
in particular, London
England and Blair have supported us to the hilt
they will pay dearly for that support

the Peace Dividend turned out to be a Trojan Horse
as we dismantled, terrorists from Islam built up
we purchase more F16 and F17 aircraft
we construct more aircraft carriers
when the risk is on our own soil
I have zero confidence in positive outcomes in Iraq
none
our attacks will unleash the dogs of war
we are not prepared for war on their terms

Thanks, George

That Kolko piece was excellent.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
