One of the things we have on our side is the lack of a technical infrastructure in the Middle East to ensure replacement parts and supplies in quantity. On the other hand, that is where the black market is the most dangerous, especially for armaments made outside of the United States. We will be in trouble if they achieve independence in that area, and are able to knock off decent copies of some of our more advanced materiel. That is one reason to make sure they are in constant disarray, so that they cannot advance to a new level of dangerousness........
