Malpractice reform will definitely lead the way for general tort reform. The Democrats lost, and thus tort reform at the federal will become a reality. The tort lawyers don't have a political base. EVERYONE outside the anti-American left understands the critical need to eliminate the barbarian hordes from raiding the health care industry. Tort Reform I, in 2003, will take the beginning steps. Tort Reform II, in 2005 (when the Republicans have 58 Senators and 250+ House members) will be a major victory over the barbarians. The states will also begin to repair their defective tort systems in 2003. This enemy will begin to fade after the 2005 round of reforms...
