Sorry about the deer, Mish. I hope no one was hurt. I bet that was at first terrifying and then, totally frustrating.

I came within a hair of hitting a large buck at 80mph one midnight on the Kansas Turnpike. He bounded over the 6 ft chain link fence like it wasn't there and crossed not more than 10 ft ahead of me. Only my wife's one-word warning..."deer"...caused me to brake and turn behind him enough to miss him. These things are unavoidable.

Glad to have you back...Hope the car is repairable...

Best regards,

jj

Mish, glad you're OK. A couple years ago I was going down the interstate when a deer happened by the shoulder of the road. It was standing there, and decided to bolt in front of the car directly in front of me. That car was a 2-door coupe, like a Nissan 240SX or something. The low slung front going 80MPH launched the deer about 15-feet up in the air, and it just missed hitting my vehicle by a few feet when it landed on the pavement.

That was quite a sight. That deer caught some very serious hang time that day.
