Yeah, I read that. He seems to be smart, and shrewd, and cheap. He also tends to get giddy over ideas that often do not pan out. Sometimes they work to his advantage - like the NTOP sale and re-purchase; sometimes they don't - like TV.tv and Free@Last.com or whatever it was called. There are lots of potential positive future developments...he seems to be close to John Malone, Cable might get into internet telephony, Winstar (which he bought for pennies) might start generating some dough.

The biggest problem I have is this: he wields total control over the company. He holds the majority of shares, so there is no chance that shareholders can even vote on any decisions the company makes. No problem, if Jonas' long term goals are the same as the other shareholders. My personal goals are to have the shares increase in value and then sell some to buy some rice and beans. Jonas seems to have some other goals - mainly of a religious nature - that may be laudable but are not at the top of my personal list of priorities.

Thankfully, I was invested in IDT instead of WCOM so I've been spared some painful times recently, but I'd still like to see some progress. I know he hates paying taxes, but some positive earnings sure would make me feel better.
