1. I am retired.

2. The Cassandra Phenomenon - Cassandra was cursed to see the future but not be believed by anyone. I have thought that I am cursed to see the future but not to believe myself.

3. I expect a big return on my technology investments, so I do not need to risk a large percentage of my assets to meet my objectives.

4. We have just come through a time where almost everyone was terribly wrong about technology stocks and lost a great deal of money. I was one of the exceptions then, but everyone should learn that it is foolish to bet the farm on a venture that has significant risk. There is probably an element of luck in all our results and a stretch of bad luck should not have the potential to bankrupt us.
