Does that mean Christianity has nothing to do with the violence in N. Ireland? Christianity is not responsible at all for the violence between the Serbs and Muslim Kosovans? Christianity had nothing to do with the Spanish Inquisition? Christianity and religion were not the issue in the recent violence between Muslim Nigerians and Christian Nigerians?

Your statement was:

We are a nation in which Christians make up the majority. We also are the most violent developed nation in the world in which at least a portion of that violence is committed by people who were raised as Christians.

We weren't talking about Northern Ireland or any other place.

Religion has been the source of death and misery throughout history for many, many years. However, Christ did not advocate violence against others. Period.

The violence between the Serbs and Muslims Kosovans was similar to the violence between the Serbs and the Croats. It was more nationalism then a religious war even if the Muslim Kosvar "nation" is largely distinguished by religion. Northern Ireland is similar.

The Spanish Inquisition (and the expulsion that preceded it and the attacks of the Jihad that had conquered parts of Spain before that, and a lot of other things that were going on at the time) are pretty much straight religiously inspired events. It was also centuries ago.

The violence between the Muslim Nigerians and Christian Nigerians was mainly a matter of the Muslims abusing the Christians.
