<I don't know why you think Americans on these threads think otherwise?>

Just because C-SPAN has been around for such a long time, as well as me having
followed their struggle to not be kicked off cable networks, "digital must carry", etc, worse
in the 80s, to the degree that they were the first to use internet as a solution, just as they (and CNN)
used cable and satellite to bypass the monopoly of terrestrial TV.

And still, all these decades, even Gingrich blasting about C-SPAN, not much response,
except the recent increased paper-media flow on "C-SPAN" junkies. (as well as
the channel journalists and politicians watch, or at least have one set in a corner for)

Good example, don't know if to be happy or sad by you "bookmarking it", happy that you did it,
sad that you didn't have a 6-8 year old bookmark.

CSPAN started out on internet just publishing programming, then simultatneously
realaudio-video internetbroadcasting, the days of "digital must carry", and now
increasingly making it possible to acess archived programs. (for the "insiders",
everything since the 80s is archived and indexed)

One basic thing is, just to avoid misunderstandings, maybe

CSPAN1, covering the house, live
CSPAN2, covering the senate, live
CSPAN3, evolving

Plus a lot more which it takes some time to understand, no 30 second soundbites saying it all.
(PBS and their strugglles for the yearly budget is another topic on these issues on "informed")

But as Woodward just commented, it takes "steel pants" to follow it.
