Yes, Barrons cans be characterized as a consistent contrary indicator for Qualcomm when they pan QCOM, but not for those contrary cases where they praise Qualcomm---in which case they are a positively correlated buy signal that falls into an inconsistent contradiction with the heretofore mentioned not so consistent case of panning QCOM that now may be better characterized as inconsistent. No more layoff <-- tight labor, less profit, negative. 5. war <-- losing sons/humans, extremely negative. 6. no war <-- hanging cloud, uncertainty, negative. 7. consumer confidence high <-- FED will tighten, negative. 8. consumer confidence dip <-- lousy econ, negative. 9. RealEstate bubble <-- long term negative, money stucked in 'building'. 10. RealEstate drop <-- negative, people have less money to spend. 11. CD rate drops <-- econ. bad, negative. 12. CD rate rises <-- also negative, more interest cost. As long as the 'paired events' don't happen in the same hour AND not touted by the same office on the same floor of single 'security/financial corporation', no law has been broken and are all valid points.
