KLP, thank you for posting that article. I think that Bush deserves a lot of credit for trying to maintain a working relationship with the Saudis. It would be easy for him to bend to public opinion and ease back on the relationship. People need to remember that one of Osama bin Laden's stated goals was to drive the U.S. out of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis still feel that they can straddle two worlds. Eventually they will have to choose. As the U.S. gains traction on its war on terrorism, they will come down on the side of the U.S. There will probably be some internal convulsions.
