Standing on the end of the pier I couldn't see a building or any other people. Well, Ted Williams did pass by in his boat almost every day.

Conchs were so plentiful you could get enough for a days worth of bait in 10 minutes wading. In those days you could find lobster traps that had broken loose and washed onto the tidal flats. We ate lobster so much that a hamburger was a treat.
