I didnt say that, but in hind sight I could have taken that awareness and used it more appropriately.

I am not nor have I ever defended the Bubble spun by our friends in the VC area outward to the general public and a lot of mutual fund mangers high on analyst acid.

I did a small sample study and found that VC sponsored IPO's as a Basket went farther and held value much longer than their peers / competitors who were not Recently sponsored. JNPR was one in the basket. It was a hoot.
I have another basket of companies small caps who lasted from Nov 99 to about may and they went through their cycle in that window. These are the same stocks now under the boot. Producing earnings and revenues, strong shareholders who wont capitulate, and Mr Market treats them as he always has. The Bull market for Many lasted a brief 6 months, and it was back to the showers.

My respect for the trade runs hot and cold on and off.

I say this in deference to those MM who do make and keep an orderly market...mostly, sometimes , maybe.
