To be honest, I don't follow PETA closely.

However, I am not against slaughter of cattle in India. More slaughter of cattle will greatly reduce the amount of road apples and cowpies which produce an incredible amount of methane (CH4) which gets oxidized in the atmosphere to carbon dioxide (CO2), amongst other products. And the CO2 is responsible for climate changes, or so they say.

More slaughter ===> Fewer bulls and cows ===> less bull&cow dung ====> cleaner and better-smelling air, especially for tourists!!!

Also fewer bulls & cows ===> less available meat eaten ===> less malodorous farts ===> cleaner and better-smelling air for all, natives and tourists!!!
