I came to Paris to scatter my ashes over the Seine. I would will to Paris, not the meat from my bones, nor the skin of my teeth, but, in good faith, that which was born of, and rightfully belonged there. All the rest, for what it’s worth, would stay with me and be my cross to bear.

Wow! I've been all warm and goosey and humming Christmas carols all morning after reading that although I did find his ending a sentence with a preposition annoying.
