Its not my money, so I aint calling the shots!

I'd expect approx 40% of the money to go towards "administrative costs" (I am being very polite here), and some of the rest to folks who need it.

OT : Looking at charity from a different perspective :

When I was living in New Zealand, Salvation Army would take whatever I offerred as surplus to me. Most of it would get given to people that needed those things.

I was surprised/offended, when once in the US, I called in Salvation Army, and said "I have a bed I dont need - would you like to have it". An "Inspector" came over to my place to check the bed out, and said "no money in that, my friend".

Last time I donated anything to any organized group - I give stuff to my neighbor, who takes it to needy people in her parish.
