OT-Most groups do both....Salvation Army in particular. They give donated things to people all over the world in time of need, and use the money from the items they sell to do the same thing...help people.

We give to both types of groups...direct donation to individuals and some to the larger groups...plus I do a lot of volunteer work for a fairly major non-profit that helps individuals all over the US.
