Thanks for the correction. I was just using a number given by one of the posters on this thread. Too bad the adoption part of the story was unknown or ignored by anti-Moslem posters on this thread with the result that Muhammad (Peace Be Unto Him) was condemned as a sex-maniac and pedophile!!! Having lived in a Moslem country I know that many girls are married off by the time they attained puberty at age 12 or 13. Of course this is a no-no in many Western countries where the minimum age requirement is 16 or 18. And so many ignorant Westerners are only too quick to criticize and condemn. Part of the blame for this ignorance is due to the absence of history as a subject in the curricula of most schools in the US.
