Yes, the article in the WSJ is quite excellent (despite missing the wisdom of Robert Bartley and George Malloan ;-)).

I know you can easily dismiss me because of my economic conservative leanings. I think of myself as more of a pratical systems thinker. If you would like another take on Globalization and what is really needed to begin the process of improving the quality of life for the poor I highly recommend reading Hernando de Soto's Mystery of Capital. He is a world class economist but he lives and works in Peru. He is not at some Washington research institute arguing abstractions. He is on the ground (for a economics professor).

His argument convinced me that the current debate is tilting at windmills. Good for these guys careers but it will do very little to help poor nations.
