John,

I think you have excellent timing. The market went over 9,000 this morning and I think it took a mighty effort to do that, most of which was not visible to mere mortals and time travellers ("Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.").

I don't know that today is the top, however, in the sense that today begins the big plunge. For someone who would like to protect profits, I think today is excellent and congratulate you on your clean living, excellent attendance at church and whatever else aided you in this endeavor.

Now you have to wonder when and where the PPT will make its next stand. The week before Xmas? Wait until January?

This is a very difficult market to call, and I therefore open up the floor to the various vagabonds and ne'er-do-wells who loll about here. Now is the time to step up to the plate and help our John T and the rest.

Will this market retrace medium (Dow 8200) or large (Dow 7900) hereabouts. I, for one, don't think we see Dow 6000 until we've seen Dow 9800 or 9900 first in January, but then see it we will.
