Bush can press ahead with his agenda now because his popularity is so high that the Democrats don't want to take him on.

If he doesn't deliver something from the Iraq buildup his popularity will fall and his ability to get things done will also fall. Don't expect that call asking you to replace Karl Rove anytime soon.

You turn your considerably intellect on analyzing the situation, develop a very interesting set of observations, make some interesting but controversial assertions and then throw it all in the garbage because you have a blind spot towards Bush and can't think clearly about his motivations.
