Reminds me of something X said earlier to Neo--doesn't that require an observer? Like...there aren't any!?

I suppose you could chaw on that when the universe is extinct. Right now it seems irrelevant. When we discuss difference we acknowledge it. The only time you ever need be concerned with the question is when you are concerned with it. And when you discuss a particular difference you likewise make a particular comparison and value judgement.

When you return to stardust you will leave the discussion to more interested parties (at least the active and "remarking" part of it). But for now..if you are discussing something then it makes a difference.

And please...the question of whether or not there is a REAL reality has nothing to do with whether or not there is an ABSOLUTE reality. If there is a real reality then there is an objective one.

A human being who exceeds 7 feet is unusually tall, by statistical definition. Another way of expressing that is to say that he is remarkably tall. It may take an observer to remark upon it, but it is worthy of remark regardless of whether the observer exists......
