I have a friend who's son is now in college. In HS the kid came home and asked for help on SQ Roots. How do you punch it in on a calculator. My friend said screw this and taught the lad SQ roots with a pencil and paper.

My friend got called in and was threatened with his son being expelled if he taught him more than the teachers did. And this was a class of 1 teacher to 5 students.
