Definition of Zionism: Zionism, the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel, advocated, from its inception, tangible as well as spiritual aims.

or:

Zionism: A Jewish movement that arose in the late 19th century in response to growing anti-Semitism and sought to reestablish a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Modern Zionism is concerned with the support and development of the state of Israel.

Then we hear Mr Barry: "Helping Zionism, which purpose is to find refuge, and safety, for the oppressed, as well as the gifted, is something to be proud of."

You seem to have a very strange and personal definition for Zionism. "Safety for the oppressed"? What have you been smoking, Robert? And what "gifted" are you dreaming about?

Zionism is about the return of Jewish people to "their homeland". So it seems to me the best way you can pursue this "hobby" of yours is to return to Israel. What do you say? When are you moving house? Or is America too comfortable to really follow through with your belief in Zionism?

God bless Zionists and their families and friends!

Please... There should be a way of stopping religious nutcases from signing up in sites like SI. Not only should God bless Zionists but also their "friends"??? Why? So people would want to be your friend? That is so very sad, Robert....
