i've actually been wondering about that K-Mart angle for a while. sales at K-Mart are about $1.5 billion less per quarter than they used to be due to the closed stores; that sure can't hurt Wal-Mart comps.

that said, its rumored that even more K-Marts will be closing, and that they might be down to less than 1000 stores when this is all done. which would incrementally benefit WalMart, Target, Kohls, et al for a while.

got a new one on the way to my in-laws -- very cool -- they have a trout-fishing section. Selection could be a little better -- but they have a nice selection of ... tippets <g>
