08:53 ET Nokia issues 2003 guidance for wireless market (NOK) 20.15: On its year-end strategy update call, NOK reaffirms view that 2003 handset sales can grow by 10% or more over the 400 mln sales it expects in 2002; also sees infrastructure market down 10% from 2002. Handset guidance is disappointing relative to Merrill's increased forecast of 474 mln units issued just yesterday; infrastructure guidance is also weak. Both NOK and ERICY are trading down on this news. and NOK and rfmd also received upgrades as well. it is amazing how the analysts research does not reflect reality without the inside scoop. <g>
