It might not even take a weakening dollar to screw us all. With the world convinced the dollar is the safe haven, you might just see the dollar devalue against real goods and services - I guess you'd call that good ol' fashioned inflation - even as the general level of economic activity falls. Stagflation - the depression of the fiat money system. We can always nullify existing debts if we print enough money! Only those foolish enough to hold the worthless scrips of paper get nailed. Gold sounds better every day. So why are the commercials short? BC
