You define the context subjectively. NY is not universally important. It is important to you, and so you choose a context which makes it important. I can choose numerous contexts that make NY unimportant. Who is "right"? No one. It is a subjective question- defined by what context you subjectively choose. :-)

That makes its importance relative to the context, but not therefore subjective.
The criterion of importance, within the context, is quite objective..


Again, we have a basic disagreement about the meanings of subjective and objective.
