This has been the takeoff procedure at John Wayne in California for years, to minimize noise over Newport Beach. I'll tell ya it's an "E Ride" when they do it. Like a Fighter Jet takeoff.

I believe it was luck the plane didn't get hit and explode.. ... It's hard to believe if one of these hit the engine it will not take part of the wing with it... and the fuel ignite.
