ajtj, I cant post a chart with lines like you do , but check this out. same thing works on dow, spx, ndx, sox and rut(thats all i checked, but seemed comprehensive). draw a line that connects the lows in the second half of october and the highs in second half of november. they all pretty much intersect the highs at 10 am yesterday. the indexes snuck up from below the line and tagged it one last time to mark the end of the bear market rally and the change of trend to down. jeff
