I don't think that you can safely dismiss raw materials and components because they are manufactured or extracted elsewhere.

For example, components are usually sold through a distributor. So even if you exclude the actual component because it is an import, you have to factor in that your Avnets and Arrow electronics and the sort are getting squeezed. And then what about the transportation companies that bring the imported product to the distributor's front door and then subsequently the finished good manufacturer's front door? Can't they get squeezed as well? And then you can go on the other side with the finished goods and assume that the distributors like Tech Data or even stores like Best Buy or Fry's are getting squeezed.
