>> Hey have you ever met any israelis? <<

would it make any difference? i'm sure i might have met perfectly nice and respectable muslims but does that change the fact that the media obsessively focuses on only the "radical muslim" or "islamo-fascist" elements which present a danger to america? likewise, there are surely perfectly nice and respectable jews i may have met, but am i somehow not allowed to focus on the "radical jewish" or "fundamental jewish" element which i believe is an even greater danger? why is the media allowed to focus on the fraction of a percent of the muslims/arabs in the world who commit terror, ignoring the other billion who are peaceful, yet i am not allowed to focus on the most subversive and radical jewish elements in america?

rational thinking people will acknowledge that their are honorable and dishonorable people from all races and religions. i just have a problem with the fact that it's ok to criticize christians, catholics, muslims, italians, blacks, etc. but the media gives the jews a free pass.

don't get me wrong, i have problems with elements in the arab/muslim world as well. i have problems with so-called christians such as falwell, graham, swaggart, and robertson. the reason i don't focus my vituperative outbursts on muslims/arabs or christians is because the jewish polemics in the media do more than an adequate job of highlighting the shortcomings found everywhere in the world...it's just that they conveniently exclude jewish shortcomings!

when is the last time you remember seeing a movie where jews are prominently portrayed as evil or bad? ask yourself that hard question.

now, when is the last time you saw a tv show or a movie where arabs are portrayed as the terrorists? when is the last time you saw a movie where blacks are portrayed as violent thugs? when is the last time you saw a show where italians were associated with the mafia? when is the last time you saw a movie which sympathetically shows a jew being mistreated by gentiles? right of the top of my head i can think of many movies where arabs are terrorists, blacks are violent thugs, italians are mobsters, gentiles are persecuting jews, etc. but i am straining to think of a movie that shows the terrible things that jews have accomplished in this world.

if after searching your memory, you can think of several movies and programs you have seen portraying the plight of the jewish people, but never any movies where jewish people are the ones doing the persecuting, than perhaps you might want to ask yourself why that is, and who might have the kind of power to select what you see and hear in your daily life.

Craig!
You got out again.
Hey have you ever met any israelis? A bunch of totally macho guys who like guns and beer. Isreal might be your kind of place!

Now, Lizzie, you know beer is loaded with carbs. Besides, it's immoral as well as fattening. ;-)

BTW, the missing post numbers were confusing me. But from the one side of the conversations I do see, it looks like nothing has changed, so he stays on ignore.

PS: I do wonder who unlocked his cage. I guess the enemy combatant thing didn't hold up in court. ;-)
