I hardly consider my life hollow. I am very happy with what I have achieved personally and financially. Fighting someone else's war to me is hollow. Gulf War I should have never been fought and has caused us many headaches, including being a major motivation for the crazy muslims to attack us on 9/11/01. Gulf War I had nothing to do with making our country a safer place to live. In fact, it made it a less safe place to live as 9/11/01 demonstrated. We could have and should have weaned ourselves off ME oil years ago. But, that isn't how the game is played, because there are powerful interests who have an interest in maintaining the status quo. The best thing you or I can do in defense of our country is to drive the most fuel efficient car possible. What you don't get is that your "concerns" are not shared by those at the top like the Bush family. Their concerns are making money at all costs, including sacrificing your life if it is necessary to make a profit. My concerns are my own happiness and well being.
