SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Asian stocks tumbled on Wednesday, led by technology issues, following a slump in U.S. shares and as Walt Disney Co. and Hewlett-Packard Co. slid in after-hours trading on gloomy announcements.





The dollar advanced slightly against the battered yen, while the euro hit a three-year high against the Japanese currency. Oil prices slipped.

In Asia's biggest bourse, Tokyo, tech issues came under pressure after U.S.-based computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard said information technology spending remains tepid.>> story.news.yahoo.com
