Flotating with Xantathes is a hazardous material whimis type op now.I believe Sadaam Hussein is stocking upon rayon shirts as we speak. The quantities used in flotation is is not harmful to the envi-ron-ment in and of itself. .50 pounds per ton of stuff. There are natural xanthates around too. CS2 is the big nasty. Xanthates degrade over months. Good and bad. But it is not long germ poison to the envi. just don't handle CS2 a lot. It turns you into a small poisonous yellow toad,with extremely tiny testicles. Not even one of Bill Clintons girlfirends would go near you. Xanthates have an exposure hazard. Narcosis death etc.. I believe you have to go swimming in the tank every day to cross that line. They don't accumulate like lead and mercury. If you burn your Rayon shirt, make sure that it is on the Atlantic coast as spotted owls live on the west coast and the smoke (low flash point) goes east of course. There is lots of stuff bouncing about in the old brain. The amount is something to see, but most of it undergoes simplification and modification until the terms collide and contradict. Like waves colliding on the ocean there is a temporary amplification or nullification.
