thats the bearish argument... that these guys will burn through the cash but imo that is reaching. I'm not saying it doesn't have some validity. But the problem is, the hypergrowth mantra of the 90s made it look like these companies can never be profitable and imo that just isn't true. I2 is an example... my guess is they are cash flow positive in the next year... right now they are not profitable because of the malaise in the biz and especially the fact that ever since their IPO, when they were profiled in the Gorilla Game etc. it was growth at all costs. Now bears assume they can never achieve profitability even though they have over $100mm/qtr in revenue even now. Tons of companies are like that... ciena, other telecom equips, software etc.
