Hi Larry: I cannot see it happening. the AOl section is such a drag on the combined company. The TWX section is a good company, and the movie division is great, as is the HBO franchise. But management is in such a mess, it is a risk that VIA does not need to take to be successful. The CNN division is loosing out to FOXon every level - I say NO.
Look to Via to expand in Europe and the Far East, less capitalisation better returns. I look to VIA being in the $60 range in the 1st qtr.
Regarding AOL, look to Case being thrown out in the near future, he is the master of this disaster. Look to Turner to become more involved, and Peasrson will align himself with Turner.
Bottom line: Viacom is the stock to own going forward in the next 24 months.
John

Larry: Are you still around??????
I have just finished a divorce, and it appears that I get a cash settlement for shares we own.
What is your opinion of the current market, and if you were going to put money in this market where would you put it??????
I am looking for ideas to place a good sum of money, and bring back the good old days of sitting under a palm tree without a worry!!!!
John

Larry I'd rather see that French media and or Yahoo than AOL of all things.
