No, it's not utopia. How hard would it really be for us to get ourselves off ME oil. Whatever happened to that "can-do" American spirit? We can do anything if we set our minds to it. The technology is there, or will be shortly, to eliminate or greatly reduce our need for ME oil. But, the all-powerful oil companies would never let that happen. They control our energy policy under Bush and company and they don't want to see their gravy train end. Why should they?
