<MITA has always been a place where Investors came and chatted, we have always been attacked by traders who want calls on index movements etc. Want to know why were not short this or that, why we should Sell Investments to accomodate a trend. Investors are not traders get it through your head. Markets go up and down, not everyone plays the game or for that matter even views the game the same way.>

Have you read the thread header recently? Get it through your head. It doesn't say anything about "Investors". But it does mention something about traders and does claim to "1) utilize TECHNICAL ANALYSIS on multiple MARKET INDEXES (and stocks in those indexes) by establishing clear support/resistance levels;" and "2) formulate strategies on index data (MITA)in order to take advantage of early opportunity/warning signs for changes in major market direction (macro-TA), or specific individual index for break-out/break-down plays that could be exploited(micro-TA); ". As well as "3) initiate trading opportunites in both directions that will ideally stack the deck in our favor and give us the greatest potential for optimum growth;".

Does this look like an "investor's thread" heading to you or one where technical analysis is supposed to be used to determine market direction? The only direction I've seen determined has been up even though the trend has been down. If the header said that this was a longterm buy and hold thread then I would agree 100% with what you said.

"Investors are not traders get it through your head."

Great point dvdw, not understanding the difference between traders and investors has lead to more infighting and petty bickering than anything else on SI.
