Yes - I know the old milk, bread, eggs (to bake good stuff), bananas and orange juice routine.

I actually didn't know I wasn't supposed to drive today, so I didn't get anything. But I have enough.

Being on a well I keep a couple of gallons on hand.

Instead of candles I have gone to the oil lamps. I even have one burning when the power is on. They smell nice and put out a lot of light. Just don't turn the wick up too high or they will smoke.
