It's a statistically proven, if not foolproof, buy signal. story.news.yahoo.com STRATEGIES; Insider Trades Point to a Rising Market (Eventually) premium.news.yahoo.com With Insider Sales At 8-Yr. Low, Can A Lasting Rally Be Far Off? Wednesday November 13, 10:43 am ET By Jonah Keri biz.yahoo.com Theres a whole bunch more of these, just search yahoo news on insider buying... but tech insider buying is higher than anytime in the last 10 years, this is well documented in many of these articles. Now you could say that doesn't matter of course... after all most tech insiders were completely blindsided by this multi-year decline... but I'm only trying to point out that this is not bearish ... simply posting that for one particular company, in one month there are more sells than buys means nothing.... most of these articles are more balanced, they weigh past trends and look at WHO is buying (CEO etc.) and how much. I think I had this discussion once with you on the AMAT thread. The LSI CEO has bought hundreds of thousands of shares in this decline... at the 7$ area. Same with the AMCC CEO, David Ritchie- he put $10mm in AMCC at higher prices than today's price. Now this is not to say that these same guys didn't sell a ton of stock in the 90s when these shares were in the hundreds... they did in fact do that... but their past behavior has nothing to do with these purchases now imo. Read the bear threads and you walk away thinking that the fact that these guys sold stock in 99 means *anything* they do now is irrelevant. Lizzie
