Not sure if this applies here but have you Buffett followers heard of the recent investment into a re-insurer company called Trentwick? (TWK)

biz.yahoo.com

Started to take an interest into this company and its stock lately. Seems to be quite interesting along with the recent signing of the Terror Insurance Bill etc.

Would appreciate any feedback if any of you know something about this recent investment.

Thanks

It might be argued that some on the thread are in fact positing that Berkshire is investing, as you state, in commoditized market leaders which are strictly constrained in some way. And, as regards the alternative you proffer, some on the thread might indeed be making attempts to deal with businesses in a portfolio in which, as you say, demand business' are so evident.

OTOH, some of us, and I'm one, don't have a clue. -gg-
