No, it has nothing to do with changing our religion. But, our support over the decades for repressive regimes in the Middle East, and our stationing of troops in their holy land, and our indiscriminate killing of their civillians in our wars for oil and via our sanctions for oil, surely has pissed quite a few them off. OBL said the main reason for the 9/11 attacks was because we have troops in their holyland (I think we'd be a bit irked if they had troops in the Vatican or in some holy Christian site in the Middle East). That is what really pisses them off. Perhaps, we should consider getting out of Saudia Arabia. I guess we can seriously debate that once Saddam is gone and the threat has diminished.

Not to mention our support for Isreal. I'm not saying we shouldn't support our friend and ally Isreal. But, we should throw our full weight behind a comprehensive peace treaty, so the bloodshed stops in Isreal and in the occupied territories. Surely, we could do more on that front. That mess should have been settled years ago.
