I respectfully disagree with you. You have some good points. But, I do think peace is possible between the Isrealies and Palestinians. Yes, there are extremists on both sides that don't want peace. But, there are enough people in the middle that could surely come to some sort of agreement if the price was right and the conditions fair. It could have and should have been done years ago. The extremists would be pissing in the wind at this point. The U.S. should make both sides an offer they can't refuse and help them get the peace deal done. Hell, we piss money down all sorts of ratholes both at home and abroad. That's one rathole that is worth pissing a lot of money down and putting a lot of diplomatic effort into if it results in peace.

There is certainly more our government could do to diffuse the situation in the Middle East. Once Saddam is gone, we should consider pulling out of Saudia Arabia. We told them we'd only be there temporarily back in 1990/1991 and we're still there twelve years later. It's time we reconsider our policy. Once Saddam is gone, what reason do we have being there?

"Diplomacy doesn't work with terrorist and the governments that embrace it. Now that they have made the US a target, we need to resolve the crisis by force"

Well said Dr. Doktor. Why is this so hard for so many to understand?
