I've had genealogy as a hobby for more than 25 years, so started young...<BG> The thing I find fascinating is it's really just a personal history search....one needs to know about history from a broad sense, and then counties and when/how they were formed, land deeds from early times to current....etc. It's particularly interesting to see if you can find letters and/or diaries of your ancestors, but if the ones you find aren't directly yours, they are still interesting as they are notes from folks who actually lived through the same period of time and with luck the same area your own folks did....
