Serial killers seem to be bred out west. It is a phenomona. 90% of all serial killers come from California. They are so rare in Europe (Russia may be an exception) that when one is reported the European police check out the US records first to see if the person resided there for a time. Even Williams (DC sniper) was posted to a western area for quite a while. They have a commonality of having worked around metals in a smelter or such place. Brain damage is common too. Metal toxins uptake and brain problems may compound other deep issues. 60% of all violent criminals in the pen have some form of brain damage. It may be that antispychotics and tranks may help tame them. Keeping them on meds on the outside is not guaranteed.

Olson was driven to do what he did by the RCMP who had a program of harrassment on him for some minor beef. Picton and the Green River Strangler may be just issued with women of leisure, a fairly common problem with some twisted moralists.
