<We were talking about isolationism. That's a lot different from unilateralism or reactionism. By the way, Buchanan is the biggest isolationist of all.>

America's actions toward Iraq at the present time are reactionary.

Agreed, Buchanan is an isolationist (among other things. I think his policies are hilarious. If he wants America back to its 'pure' roots it looks as if everybody will have to pack up and leave except of course native Indians.

Had they took strong stances on all of these issues while at the same time support the war on terrorism, they would have won it big time last November. Instead, they waffled and tried to please everyone with their poll-based politics, but ended up pleasing no one.

Well, I disagree -- sort of. The bottom line is that the American People are sick of politics, and they view George Bush [correctly] as non-political [more correctly, minimally political]. The saw Daschle obstructing. They saw the Wellstone Memorial Pep Rally. They saw theft of an election in New Jersey, following on the heals of the attempted theft of the presidential election in Florida. They saw an attempted election theft in Minnesota. They saw the Democrats' attempts to paint the Clinton Recession as a Bush Recession.

They saw liberals politicizing ad nauseum the president's efforts to rid the world of an evil dictator. They saw the president's exceptional progress against Al Queda. They saw the president's efforts at minimizing the Clinton Recession.

They saw liberals doing what liberals do, and they didn't like it. They saw Bush doing what Bush does, and they did like it.
